This is a really useful article, and does a great job of breaking down the difference between two related but separate concepts.

    I do have two comments:

First, you say that racism “is /most/ common in America in white communities who refer to black people as nothing better than slave labour”. This seems a bit biased here. As a white American, I will be the first to admit that our country has a very bad issue with racism, and that this needs to be changed. But to say that racism is “most common” only in America is hyperbolic and completely ignores the systemic racism that plagues other parts of the world; oppression is not exclusive to America. I would recommend amending this to say racism “can be found in America in white communities…” This is true, but also does not incorrectly paint America as some sort of capital of racism.

Second, you say “systematic racism […] is /most/ often seen in banks”. Again, I think that’s kind of an unsourced hyperbole. I would argue that, yes, it is very often seen in banking, but that it is also often seen in other institutions, like academia and housing. Again, you could fix this by simply removing “most”.

    here is ONE example:

a system that was only abolished in 1865 in America,

    “only”

and blacks can be racist against others too

The New Black Panthers for example are racist black group who hate whites and Jewish people . It’s implied that only whites are racist and that’s just not true at all .

There’s no implying Whites Only are racist here. It is simply pointed out as the most obvious, that in the history of this country and frankly, currently , White Americans, are the most prevalent racist group. Sure they could point out other races, but since it’s inception this country has been and continues to be a society of both bigots and racist against any non-white race, mostly Blacks and now Latino and Muslim. There’s no getting around it. (I’m not talking about individuals who are White and aren’t racist but as our society’s majority.)

The black panthers are a hate group that was born out of the 50’s and 60’s in direct result of the bigotry, oppression and racism endured since slavery but mostly because of the pre and post civil rights movement and continual acts of agression during their inception. (Continued segregation, beatings, continued hangings after reaching their rights of civil liberties and the murder of MLK). They are an example of the direct result of years racism and opression. In opposition the White Supremacists party was born due to acknowledgement of those liberties.

The “only” comment about slavery’s abolishment in 1865 is ignorant to the fact that as a “progressive” country and society, America was one of the last countries to abolish slavery. That’s only 150+ years since they were chained, whipped, slept in one room shacks and sold like the crops they picked. There are current generations whose parents and grandparents were slaves, literally growing up on 1st hand knowledge of what that was like! (Not one White American today has that recent history or visceral feeling of oppression and hate.) This is a blip in time based on the number of years since our independence and over 500 years since this country was founded. England abolished slavery over 200 years before America. However, no matter how short the time since slavery, their CIVIL liberties were another 100 years away and honestly based on our recent past and current climate no one can say their liberties are held to the same standards as White American liberties! (And don’t shout black crime in here. We don’t have the same amount of coverage of White crime and certainly not with the same racial slant.) And yes Blacks hate other blacks but Whites certainly hate other Whites as well.

Remember white women were only given the right to vote within the last 100 years. However, based on our past and mostly current climate we are still considered the weaker sex. We are still fighting to not be 2nd class citizens through safe working environments and equal pay for equal work. Now imagine you’re also Black, Latino or Muslim!

This article was articulate and used the obvious example of prevalent racism.
